Embedding the Appointo calendar on a page in Shopify

By default the Appointo app shows up on any page that has product on it but if you want to embed a calendar on any page of your liking you can do through following ways

This could be done through Appointo by embedding the app calendar to a particular page in Shopify. Here's how:

Head over to Appointo > Services > Click on {/} icon > Copy Code.
Now, head over to Shopify > Online Store > Pages.
In pages, click on the page, where you would want the calendar to show up, and in the page editor, click on the Show HTML option as shown in the screenshot below:
Now, in the HTML editor, paste the copied code, then click on Save.

Question 2

I do not want to add product or I want to take free bookings?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it's possible. With the below configuration, customers can skip the checkout step and schedule an appointment directly.

What's the best use-case for the above feature?

For example, if the product for which you would like to take appointments is free, with the above option activated, customers will select the respective time and that slot will be booked for the customer. Customers do not need to go to the checkout flow process. We recommend this feature to use only if the product is free of cost.

How to activate the feature?

Click on 'Product Name' for the product(Appointo > Services ). Click on show in product configuration -> Check (Skip Payment for this product)

Everything else (Availability, Group Appointment Settings, Reminder Settings, etc.) is the same as before.

How is the experience from customers' point of view?

Experience is almost similar. Customers will click on the 'Schedule Your Time' Button and the Booking Calendar will popup. Once the customer selects a slot and confirms, they will be asked to fill their email, name and phone number. Once confirmed, an appointment slot will be booked.

Question 3

Group Appointments(Max number of invitees in a slot)

Multiple people booking the same slot is possible through Appointo. With our Group Appointment feature, you can allow multiple people booking the same slot.

Example: Have 10 customers willing to book a 9 AM slot for a service? Book all of them in!

Best fit for:

Events - Parties/Coffee table bookings
Workshops - Pottery Workshops/Candle Making Workshops
Activities - Rides/Dog Walks/Bicycle tours

I want to block off certain days/times? How can I do that

There might be situations where you would like to block certain date/time where you are not available or want to take a break. Please have a look at the video which will help you understand how you can block certain date or time based on your requirements

In these cases, you can easily use our Block dates/Date overrides feature and block your availability for some days which are open on your schedule. Here’s how:

Head over to Appointo > Services > Click on the Service > Availability > Add Date Overrides > Click on the '+' next to it > Select the specific date click on the ‘Trash’ button next to the time > Apply > Save.

Question 5

I want to provide class pass to my customer or X number of bookings every Y days?

Appointo has a unique feature which allows you to provide bundles or class pass to your customers. You can also have recurring bookings or fixed bookings every month, day or week. The feature is called Subscription.

Please go to Services -> Subscription to setup your first subscription

P.S.- It will require you to Activate charges since subscription has a 2% charge and is available on all plans

What is Workflows? How can I set it up?

Through workflows, you can set up email/text automation and triggers for your bookings. Below are a few of the use cases for which you can use Workflows (You can also create your own to customize for your business requirement):

Once a customer purchases an appointment, following workflows can be triggered if activated.

Use Cases

To send Multiple Appointment Reminders
To send Follow-up emails or thank-you mail
To send extra info/documentation via mail
To send a feedback link for an appointment

and so on…

Here's how you can configure a workflow, for your store:

Head over to Appointo > General Settings > Workflows.
Add conditions based on which you would like to send the Emails/Texts.
Add Action, you can also edit the content of the Email, based on your preferences. We also support HTML content in Workflows.
Add appointments to workflow, for which you would like to send an Email.
Hit Save Workflow.

Once the settings are saved and workflow is active, your customers will receive an Email through the workflow, for every scheduled appointment, based on the conditions.
